Dr. Aasha Abdill

Program Initiative & Evaluation,

BOTT Foundation Board Member

Dr. Aasha M. Abdill brings a powerful combination of research expertise, systems design, and equity-centered leadership to the BOTT Foundation. She ensures that our programs are built on strong, data-informed structures that measure what matters—participant growth, community impact, and long-term opportunity. By developing the processes that track outcomes and surface meaningful insights, Dr. Abdill helps BOTT continually refine, strengthen, and expand its mission.

Aasha is skilled at bridging the gaps between technology, program delivery, and organizational strategy. She works across teams to create tools that help staff and leadership understand participant progress, improve program quality, and ensure accountability to the communities we serve. Her work allows BOTT to demonstrate results, attract resources, and build sustainable pathways for empowerment. With deep experience supporting grassroots, nonprofit, philanthropic, and government initiatives, Dr. Abdill has spent her career addressing systemic barriers facing youth, families, and communities. She is also the author of Fathering from the Margins, a well-regarded sociological study that elevates the lived realities of Black fathers in Brooklyn.

Dr. Abdill holds a master’s degree in quantitative methodology from Columbia University and a doctorate in sociology from Princeton University, with concentrations in organizational theory, race and ethnic studies, and community studies. She is a proud alumna of Spelman College—and the Brooklyn School of Hard Knocks.
