Richard Anthony Mauro is a multifaceted Brooklyn-based professional whose work spans entrepreneurship, education, design, authorship, and community advocacy. As Owner and President of OLD FULTON VENTURES, LLC and an NYS Licensed Real Estate Broker and Instructor, he brings a diverse blend of creativity, business acumen, and neighborhood-rooted experience to the BOTT Foundation.


Richard’s career includes international recognition for his design work through the SOFT-SAC FURNITURE COMPANY and authorship of Guide to the Legends and Mysteries of Brooklyn, Vol. 1, a celebrated local history text. He has also held senior Special Events roles at UNICEF and the Office of the Mayor of New York City, contributing to high-profile initiatives that required strong organizational leadership and community insight.


Today, Richard continues to serve Brooklyn and the greater New York community as a Community Relations Ambassador for the American Red Cross and as an NYPD Community Partner. At BOTT, he brings a powerful combination of creativity, community awareness, and strategic advocacy—helping the Foundation build programs and spaces that reflect the culture, history, and lived realities of the communities we serve.
