The BOTT Foundation (Brighter Opportunities Through Trade) was honored to participate in a recent Community Advisory Board meeting hosted by the office of Assemblywoman Latrice M. Walker. The gathering brought together community leaders, advocates, and organizations committed to creating meaningful opportunities for local residents.
During the meeting, the BOTT Foundation presented its mission-driven initiative focused on expanding access to free skilled trade training in East Brooklyn. Our proposal outlines a commitment to train 24 participants at no cost, providing hands-on instruction, workforce readiness, and direct pathways into sustainable careers within the construction and skilled trades industries.
This initiative is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: when communities are given access to skills, mentorship, and opportunity, long-term economic mobility follows. By investing directly in people, we aim to strengthen families, support local economies, and help build a skilled workforce prepared for today’s labor market.
We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Assemblywoman Walker’s office and fellow community stakeholders who share our commitment to workforce development and equitable access to opportunity.
Together, we are building brighter futures—through trade.
With gratitude,
The BOTT Foundation Team
