Community Investment in Action
The BOTT Foundation is proud to be one of five nonprofits awarded funding from the East Brooklyn Workforce Development Fund, led by the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC). With this support, we’re expanding opportunities, deepening impact, and reinforcing our commitment to career pathways that uplift Brooklyn neighbors.

An $1.4 Million Boost for Brooklyn’s Workforce
On April 30, 2025, NYCEDC announced $1.4 million in grants awarded to five local organizations serving the communities around Broadway Junction. The goal? To build equitable, high-impact workforce development programs in East Brooklyn — from welding and construction to green economy pathways. The grants are part of a broader investment in job creation and community revitalization around this transit hub.
What This Means for BOTT
BOTT’s award goes toward expanding our welding training and certification program, in partnership with Lambo Mechanical and Imagine That. With this investment, we’ll reach more local residents, delivering hands-on skills training that leads to real jobs and long-term stability.
Why This Is Bigger Than Training
This funding isn't just about dollars; it’s about deepening our roots in the community and extending our impact. It enables us to bring workforce training directly to East Brooklyn residents and align with city-led revitalization efforts, helping ensure that community members build their own futures.
